Ask without hidden motive —> be surrounded by your answer

–> Details of the service location/time/call-in number are at the bottom of this post. <–

Today, here’s a simple, useful message… just made to be basked in.

John 16:23-24 (from the Aramaic English New Testament)
[to dive deep & compare translations, Bible Hub & Bible Gateway are good resources.]

All things that you ask straightly, directly, that you desire –
like an arrow to its mark,
like birds to their watering place —
from the Breathing Life of All, Father-Mother of the Cosmos,

with my shem
my experience,
my Light and Sound,
my Atmosphere, my Word:
from inside my Name –

you will be given.

So far you haven’t done this.

So ask without hidden motive and
be surrounded by your answer –
be enveloped by what you desire –
that your gladness be full –
that the joy of goals met here
may continue its story to perfection in Unity –
that the [fullness of] life in you
find its lover in the Cosmos.

You and all are welcome to join in the service this evening (details below) to consider this concept some more, and to feel the healing it brings.

But wherever you are today, may you feel even closer than before to the goodness & healing we have every right to expect from God.

Much love,

Your pals at JP Church

Feel loved. Get healed.

Can’t wait to share church with you this morning.  Wonderful grace is here for you.

(ten-thirty-five a.m., 687 Centre St, Jamaica Plain or 1-605-475-4000×636128#)

God loves you.  ❤

Come and get it!

What is grace?  Different biblical translators have called it “love,” “kindness,” or “exuberant giving and receiving;” a famous song simply calls it amazing… what does it mean to you?

This good, this grace, can come in many forms, indeed, but it’s all come to us the same way.  Come, experience grace with us, and share our gratitude as we reflect on it.  It will be healing, it’ll be inspiring, and the blessings will abound.

Our healing meeting will start at the usual place (687 Centre St., JP), at the usual time (7:35pm EDT, Wednesday), and with our usual joy (often expressed in hugs, high-fives, and healing).  If you would like to experience grace with us via telephone, the number is (605) 475-4000 x636128.

The Principle of everything loves you.  So do we.

I am the way, a…

I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.

–Christ Jesus (from John 14:6, New Century Bible)

“Doctrine of Atonement” – Sunday Bible Study

Join us tomorrow for this week’s Christian Science Bible Lesson on “Doctrine of Atonement.” It highlights the journey of human consciousness from slavery to checklists and rituals to spiritual obedience resulting in freedom and healing!

The fourth section contains the story of Jesus healing a man unable to walk for thirty-eight years at the pool of Bethesda. Commentary on this story of healing found in the book “Notes on the Miracles of Our Lord” by Richard Chenevix Trench brings out an important point, “With reason the law through Moses was given, grace and truth through Jesus Christ has come to pass. Moses wrote five books, but in the five porches round the pool, sick men were lying, but they could not be healed…For in those five porches, a figure of the five books, sick men were given over rather than made whole…The Lord came, the water was troubled; He was crucified, let the sick man step down that he may be made whole. What is, let him step down? Let him humble himself? Therefore whosoever ye be that love the letter without grace, in the porches will ye remain…” (279).

We look forward to diving into a deep explication of this topic given by our Pastor, The Holy Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. We’ll be at The Eastern Bank, 687 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, MA beginning at 10:30 AM. The hymns for tomorrow will be 148, 42, and 165 in case you want to practice that pretty singing of yours. 🙂

There will be a reading of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) directly following our meeting for any who want to stay at join. The inspiration for this comes from our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy’s statement in the Message to the Mother Church, 1901,

“To my sense the Sermon on the Mount, read each Sunday without comment and obeyed throughout the week, would be enough for Christian practice. The Word of God is a powerful, and it is not too spiritual to be practical, nor too transcendental to be heard and understood” (11: 16-21).

Hooray!

ALSO – some of our members are involved in a community orchard event beginning at 1:00 PM at Egleston Community Orchard (ECO), 195 Boylston St., Jamaica Plain, MA. If you’re in the area YOU’RE INVITED! Here’s the link with more information: www.meetup.com/urban-homesteaders-league/events/85497492
